It is quite possible that Apple will also release a new generation of the MacBook Air next month. The laptop first appeared last year with a 15-inch screen, making it the largest MacBook Air ever. Major changes have not been made to the laptop, but they are expected this year. It is therefore wise to wait a little longer before buying a new MacBook Air.
These features are coming to the laptop
According to rumors, Apple plans to renew several versions of the MacBook Air. This means that both the 13- and 15-inch versions will probably receive an update this year. The laptops are equipped with the M3 chip, which was actually expected in the MacBook Air 2023. That generation still runs on the M2 chip, but the MacBook Air 2024 will have an M3 chip.
No further changes to the design are expected. With the M3 chip, the MacBook Air 2024 does have support for ray tracing, among other things. This gives the laptop better reflections and nicer shadow and light effects in games, for example. In addition, the MacBook Air will support WiFi 6E. So these are not huge changes, but it is still smart to wait a little longer before buying a MacBook Air.
MacBook Air will arrive at the end of March
Apple reportedly plans to release the MacBook Air by the end of March. Are you not looking for a laptop with the latest chip? Then wait until the end of March before buying a MacBook Air, because the price of previous generations drops enormously as soon as the new MacBook Air is released. This way you save quite a bit of money, especially now that you don’t have to wait long anymore.
