The Zeekr 001 FR is a 1,265 hp variant of the 001 that is also for sale in the Netherlands. And it’s still in production!

The Zeekr 001 FR is, according to its creators, the car with which “[…] says goodbye to boring EVs.” Whether that also means that the less intense 001s fall into the category of ‘boring’? Who knows. The Chinese undoubtedly mean otherwise. The Zeekr 001 FR is in any case overloaded with considerably more visual drama than its better-behaved brothers.
Zeekr has poured a box of carbon fiber extras over the 001. This should not only increase the downforce, but also make the car lighter. This suggests that various body parts have also been made from the lightweight stuff, but that is not yet clear at the moment. The Zeekr 001 FR, which is packed with countless spoilers, lips, edges and flaps, draws its power of 1,265 hp not from three, but from four electric motors. Each wheel is driven by a separate one, which also means that the car can rotate on its axis without having to drive. Useful? Maybe not, but a funny one feature of course it is. The car draws its energy from a 100 kWh battery. Thanks to 800v technology, you should be able to load that package quite quickly. According to Zeekr, the package can be pumped from 10 to 80 percent of its capacity with power in 15 minutes.
Zeekr will produce 99 copies of the 001 FR every month. The first Zeekrs 001 FR will have to run off the line in October. Fun fact: According to Zeekr, the 001 FR is the first production car in the world to have a satellite communication system on board”[…] so that you also have total communication in places where the telephone network does not cover.” Total communication, yes! It is not yet clear whether and when the Zeekr 001 FR will become available in Europe and the Netherlands.
