15-inch MacBook Air 2023 unveiled: bigger and better

At the event on June 5, Apple unveiled the largest MacBook Air yet, at 15.3 inches. Here’s what you need to know about the new MacBook Air 2023.

The latest new MacBook Air is already a year old. It was presented on June 6, 2022. The 13.6-inch MacBook Air 2022 has an M2 chip and a completely redesigned appearance. The latter is not the case with the new MacBook Air.

It was fully in line with the expectation that Apple during the event on June 5 the MacBook Air 2023 was supposed to unveil and it has. According to previous rumors, the new MacBook Air would get an M3 chip, but it later became clear that it would be an M2 chip. And this also turns out to be the case.

Bigger, but much remains the same

At 15.3 inches, the MacBook Air 2023 is therefore a lot larger than the MacBook Air 2022. The new MacBook Air also has a battery life of 18 hours and at 11.5 mm, it is the thinnest 15-inch laptop ever.

The new MacBook Air features MagSafe charging, 5mm bezels and a brightness of 500 nits. You can also count on a 1080p camera and six speakers with Spatial Audio. The MacBook Air 2023 is available in four different colors: midnight, starlight, space gray and silver.

You can order the 15.3-inch MacBook Air starting today for $1,599. It will be available everywhere on Tuesday, June 13. You can now buy the 13-inch MacBook Air with M2 chip from € 1299 (€ 220 cheaper).

MacBook Air 2023 from 13 inches

There were rumors in advance that Apple would also present a 13-inch version of the new MacBook Air, but it will not appear until later this year. This version will probably get the faster M3 chip.
