It took a while, but Spotify is now also becoming more expensive. We tell you how much you have to pay from now on.
Spotify is getting more expensive…
Many streaming services have become more expensive recently. It’s a pity, but Spotify has now also announced that prices are going up there. All Premium subscriptions from Spotify will therefore become more expensive. But they are not all going to be the same price.
Of course it remains possible to listen to Spotify with a free account. You will hear commercials and songs will be played randomly.
… and these are the new prices
Spotify’s Individual subscription will be one euro more expensive. The price goes from 9.99 euros to 10.99 euros. The price of the Duo subscription (then you can listen with two people, each with their own account) rises a bit more. There the price goes from 12.99 euros to 14.99 euros.
Do you have a Family plan? Then the price increase is even more substantial. You will then pay 17.99 instead of 14.99 euros. With a Family subscription you can create six accounts.
Finally, Spotify’s Student subscription will also become slightly more expensive. There the price rises from 4.99 euros to 5.99 euros.

Spotify alternative: Apple Music
Spotify was cheaper than Apple Music for a long time. Now that Spotify has become more expensive, the prices of the two music services are almost the same. Always wanted to try out Apple Music, but found the price of Spotify better? Then maybe now is the time to switch.
