The iPhone has supported the fast charging function for quite a long time (since the iPhone 8). This allows you to charge the iPhone up to 50 percent in half an hour with a charger of 20 Watts or more. There are some differences between more recent iPhones and older devices, but this is a rule of thumb.

If you use a weaker charger for your iPhone, you will from now on receive a notification. You will then see this message in the Battery settings of your iPhone. To check this, follow the steps below.

You will receive the message about a slow charger almost immediately. This is when your iPhone gives the notification:

• You use a wired charger that delivers 7.5 W or less;
• You have a wireless charger that delivers less than 10 W.

Even if you have a fast charger, the message can still appear. This is possible, for example, if you have connected multiple devices. To make charging as smooth as possible, you must take the following things into account.

• Disconnect other accessories;
• Limit the use of apps while charging;
• Try charging your iPhone in a cooler place.

Fast charging on the iPhone (use a good charger)

To be able to fast charge on the iPhone, you need a good charger. A good 30 Watt charger is sufficient for this, but to really get all the speed out of all iPhones, it is better to go for a 35 Watt charger.
