Xiaomi 12T Pro official: top phone with 200 MP camera costs 749 euros

Xiaomi has announced its 12T series of flagships in the Netherlands. The most powerful is the Xiaomi 12T Pro, which uses a 200MP camera sensor and comes with a 120W fast charger. The device is for sale from 749 euros.

With the Xiaomi 12T Pro, the Chinese brand has launched a phone that bets on strong performance as well as on the camera, and you don’t have to pay the highest price for it either. According to Xiaomi, this sensor captures a lot of details, but it can also collect a lot of light. That’s because the sensor is relatively large, namely 1/1.22 inch. The Xiaomi 12T Pro should therefore also be able to take good photos in difficult lighting conditions. The main camera is not assisted by a telephoto camera, but the 200 MP sensor can take good pictures itself with a range of 2x zoom. Finally, there is an extra macro lens and an 8 MP wide-angle camera.

Powerful performance and fast charging

The strength of the pro version lies in the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which is the overclocked version of the regular 8 Gen 1. Both devices work with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, but you can buy the Pro version. also available with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The 12T series features a 5,000 mAh battery that you can charge with a 120W fast charger, and the phones can’t charge wirelessly. The phones run on Android 12 and they get three version updates and four years of security updates.

The screen of the Xiaomi 12T series is a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution. It’s not an LTPO panel, but Xiaomi does come out with its AdaptiveSync, which dynamically adjusts the refresh rate based on the content viewed. This brings the panel close to the possibilities of LTPO. In addition, Adaptive Reading mode reduces the amount of blue light emitted to improve eye comfort.

And then there is the housing of the phones that Xiaomi has finished with a curved back and frosted glass. For example, fingerprints are less visible than with ordinary glass. The Xiaomi 12T Pro also has a set of speakers developed by the audio manufacturer Harman Kardon, and the fingerprint scanner is located under the screen on both phones.

Xiaomi 12T Differences

If you read the above features, there are a lot of similarities between the 12T Pro and the base model, and the designs are also almost identical. However, the base model also has some striking differences.

First up is the lighter MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Ultra processor, which is a 2.85GHz chipset. It is also only available in the 8 GB/128 GB configuration and the phone has a 108 MP main camera instead of the 200 MP sensor. The other camera sensors are the same.
