1.44 kilometers up

Do you think the Alpine A110 R with its carbon fiber body parts, sports springs and aerodynamic extras is an extreme rascal? Then you will be impressed by what the French will soon conjure up from their development rooms. We already get to see a first teaser of the very fierce Alpine A110 GT4 Evo.
Drivers can’t just lose their egg on a regular circuit. Within motorsport there is also such a thing as sprints to a high point, think of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Alpine is preparing a special A110 for that tough hill climb: the A110 GT4 Evo.
The A110 that Alpine deploys during the so-called race to the clouds in the American Colorado Springs will soon be driven by Raphaël Astier. Astier won the 2022 FIA GT Cup with an A110 Rally and has some experience with the model. The racing monster itself is what looks like a quite modified A110 GT4 Evo with which it is used on circuits. On June 25, the car can be seen in action during the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The reveal will probably follow sooner. The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb consists of a 19.93 kilometer long and 156 corner sprint to an altitude of 2.87 kilometers, 1.44 higher than where the start is located.
