Peugeot 2008 Sports Concept

The Thai department of Peugeot has parked a sporty dressed Peugeot 2008 on the exhibition floor of the Bangkok Motor Show. That heavily expanded 2008 listens to the name Peugeot 2008 Sport Concept, but turns out not to be an original Peugeot design at all.

Peugeot Thailand has hoisted a 2008 in a fierce-looking sports suit especially for the Bangkok Motor Show. According to Peugeot Thailand, the design is inspired by that of LeMans monster 9×8, but the Thai branch of Peugeot does not do justice to where the inspiration really comes from. What seems? Peugeot Thailand has the digital work from illustrator jpog.photography shamelessly adopted.

In September 2021, computer drawings of a fierce Peugeot 2008 appeared on the Instagram page of jpog.photographie in which its digital creator had incorporated influences from a WRC rally cannon and a Pikes Peak monster. In any case, the Peugeot 2008 Sport Concept looks like two drops of water. The design and color scheme of the exuberant body kit corresponds to what we see on jpog.photographie’s work, the wheels have a similar design, the rear spoiler matches and even the decals applied to the show car seem to have been taken over almost entirely from the digital performance that in 2021 from the fingers of jpog.photography came (photos 9 to 11).

The similarities with the jpog.photography illustration are undeniable.

Underneath a video that Peugeot Thailand places on Instagram of the Peugeot 2008 Sport Concept, jpog.photography reacts with some surprise. “Wait. What? This is my design from 2021. You stole my design. How is that possible?” – writes the account below the video We are awaiting a response from Peugeot on the matter and have also asked jpog.photographie for a response.
