Do you have a lot of chats in WhatsApp? Then it often looks quite the same. The solution is then to set a wallpaper in WhatsApp. Then you always know immediately which chat you have open!
Set wallpaper for WhatsApp
If you have been using WhatsApp for a while, you often have many different chat conversations. Now you can see at the top of the chat who (or which group) you are talking to when you have a chat open. But you don’t always pay attention to that. By setting a background in WhatsApp you always see which chat you have open and you can also make the text more readable.
There are many wallpapers in the app that you can choose from. But there is more: it is also possible to set one of your own photos as background. We explain how to set a standard background and how to choose your own photo.
Set WhatsApp wallpaper on iPhone
- Launch WhatsApp on your iPhone;
- Tap on ‘Chats’ and open the chat whose background you want to customize;
- At the top, tap the name of the person you’re talking to (or the name of the group);
- Choose ‘Background and sound > Choose a new background’;
- Choose ‘Bright’, ‘Dark’ or ‘Solid colors’ and tap the desired background. You can also choose ‘Photos’ here and use your own image;
- Tap Set to set the wallpaper.
Do you want to equalize the background for every chat? Then follow the steps below.
- Open WhatsApp on your iPhone and tap ‘Settings’ at the bottom;
- Choose Chats > Chat background;
- Tap on ‘Choose a new wallpaper’;
- Choose one of the default backgrounds or select one of your own photos;
- Tap Set to customize the WhatsApp wallpaper.
After setting a wallpaper in WhatsApp, don’t you think it’s quite your thing? Then you can turn the default background back on. You then choose the option ‘Default background’ on the Chat background tab.
