1. iPhone SE 2022
The best choice of all iPhones under 500 euros in 2023 is undoubtedly the iPhone SE 2022. This iPhone has a 4.7-inch LCD display and 4GB of RAM. In addition, it contains a powerful A15 Bionic chip and the iPhone SE 2022 has 5G support.
There is also a 12 megapixel camera that takes better photos than those of its predecessor. This is due to the A15 Bionic chip, which has a better image signal processor.
You can already buy the iPhone SE 2022 from 438 euros. Compared to the current top models, you obviously have to make some concessions. 2. iPhone 11
With a price from 499 euros, the iPhone 11 is the only regular iPhone (besides the older iPhone X) that you can buy new for less than 500 euros. In this top three, the iPhone 11 is the only device with Face ID.
The iPhone 11 is of course a bit older (introduced in 2019), so you will miss some modern features. There is no 5G support and MagSafe is also not available on this iPhone. You can still assume that the next iOS version will be supported, which will probably be released next September. For the time being, you can still make good progress with this iPhone.
3. iPhone SE 2020
If you go for the cheapest option, then the iPhone SE 2020 is for you. You can buy this iPhone from 309 euros. This iPhone SE has the appearance of the iPhone 8 and performs comparable to the iPhone 11.
The device has a 4.7-inch Retina display, an A13 chip and Touch ID. Thanks to the glass back, the iPhone SE 2020 can be charged wirelessly. You can use a Qi charger for that. This iPhone has a 12 megapixel camera like the 2022 version, but it performs slightly less well because of the A13 chip.
Refurbished: the best iPhones under 500 euros
Refurbished means overhauled. In other words, the device has had a previous owner and the device has subsequently been refurbished, checked and cleaned. Then it was put back on sale so that someone else could be happy with it.

For that you get a 6.1-inch OLED screen, Face ID, 4 camera sensors on the back, including LiDAR depth sensor and 5G support.
3. iPhone 11 Pro Max
The iPhone 11 Pro Max is the largest and cheapest iPhone in this list. This device still costs around 875 euros new, but you can buy one refurbished 389 euros.
The iPhone 11 Pro Max has a 6.5-inch Retina screen, Face ID, A13 chip, triple camera with 12 megapixels and also a 12-megapixel selfie camera. In any case, the device will receive the next iOS update and will therefore be usable for a long time.
