The YouTube channel Phone Repair Guru decided to take a closer look at a fake iPad Pro 2024 and compare it with a real iPad. There was no mention of price in the video, but after a quick search on the internet, these iPad Pros can be had for a fraction of the Apple price.

At first glance, both boxes in which the tablets come look very similar. There are some minor differences in the text, but what gives the fake iPad Pro away almost immediately is the plastic around the box. Apple never wraps their products with plastic anymore.

Still, we have to be honest: the iPad Pro looked pretty convincing when it was first turned on. The screen responds smoothly and the tablet actually looked like a new iPad Pro. There were some quirks during installation, but you will only recognize them if you compare it with a real iPad Pro at the same time.

Yet the fake iPad Pro is quickly exposed when the chip is tested. It can be seen that some functions are completely missing, or are shown but do not work. The fake iPad Pro also crashes regularly, which also raises a number of questions.

The fake iPad Pro was then tested in various apps. However, things already went wrong with Genshin Impact. Parts of the game world were missing and the game was very slow. When testing other games it went a bit better, but it was clear that this iPad was not as fast as the ‘real deal’ from Apple.

The differences were also quite large when testing the camera. For example, on the fake iPad it was clearly visible that the camera was slower and of poorer quality. The sound of the microphone was also significantly less good.

At the end of the video the iPad is also opened. And then it becomes clear what is different and that a lot of the hardware of the real iPad is simply not in the fake iPad Pro.
