There is an update available for Netflix! In the latest software version, the app for the iPhone and iPad will get a handy new function. This changes.
Netflix comes with update
Do you have a subscription to Netflix? Then we have good news, because Netflix has released an update for the app on the iPhone and iPad. In the new software version, the iPhone app will be given a much sought after function, which has been available at the Android app for years. Netflix introduces a button, which makes it possible to download all episodes of a season in one go on your iPhone or iPad.
That is a handy addition, especially if you regularly download Netflix series to view offline. Where you previously had to select every episode of a series on Netflix separately to download, this is no longer necessary after installing the update. Download season in one go
Do you want to look Netflix soon, while you don’t always have a good internet connection? Then the new button in the Netflix app comes in handy. Make sure you have updated the application to the latest version. Netflix has now released the update for everyone, so you can already use the new function on your iPhone or iPad. Have you installed the update? Then you will find the new button as follows:
- Open Netflix on your iPhone or iPad;
- Go to a series of your choice;
- Choose the season you want to download;
- Finally, tap ‘Download Season’.
With the update, Netflix adds the button next to the existing icons such as ‘my list’ and ‘share’. The new button makes it much easier to download all episodes of a season in one go. Do you just want to download a few episodes? That is also possible, that goes via the button next to every separate episode. You will then find all downloaded episodes under ‘My Netflix> Downloads’.

Pay attention when downloading series (and films) on Netflix, because it is advisable to do this well before departure. Certainly if you travel, it is wise to check again before departure whether the titles have been downloaded on your iPhone or iPad. In some cases, this fails, for example due to a poor internet connection or by closing the app. Do you see this on time? Then you can still download the series or film.
In any case, it is much easier to download a complete season of a series on your iPhone or iPad. With the update, Netflix does not bring any changes to the app, but does implement price increases in a number of countries. The subscriptions in, among others, the United States, Canada and Portugal have become more expensive immediately. These price increases do not (yet) apply in the Netherlands and Belgium.
