The Apple TV app is now available in the Google Play Store, which means that you can now install the app on your Android for the first time.
Apple TV available for Android
Android users can now watch films and series from Apple TV+ via the Apple TV app on their smartphone or tablet. So far that was only possible via the Chromecast with Google TV and the Google TV streamer. Users can log in with an existing Apple account, or create a new account via the app and Google Play subscriptions. The app is now being rolled out and supports devices with Android 10 or newer.
The app Supports the fundamental functions of the Apple TV app on Apple devices, such as offline downloads. The progress of playing is synchronized among all your devices, so you can watch a movie on your TV and at a certain point in bed watch further on your Android phone.

Apple TV+ and MLS
On Apple TV+ you will find all kinds of exclusive series, such as ‘Severance’, ‘Slow Horses’ and ‘Ted Lasso’, but also films such as ‘Wolfs’ and ‘The Instigators’. A subscription to Apple TV+ costs you 9.99 euros per month. You can also choose to subscribe to MLS (Major League Soccer). There you pay 14.99 euros per month before. If you already have a subscription to Apple TV+, you will pay 12.99 euros per month.
This is also the limitation of the app: Apple TV+ and MLS. You do not have access to previously purchased content via the app.

With the launch of the Apple TV app on Android, Apple shows that it is important that Apple TV+ is becoming a success as an independent service.
