Light in the darkness
Let’s start immediately with the most important feature of this Apple Watch band: it gives light in the dark. You don’t have to do anything to glow the strap. As long as some (sun) light can fall on the strap, it will show a soft, green glow in the evening. If you want a little more ‘glow’, you can just keep it close to a lamp (or keep the light on your iPhone).
Nomad vs Apple
In addition, it is this Sport Band Glow 2.0 from Nomad the same as the other sports bands of this manufacturer. That means that this strap has the same, pleasant (aluminum) closure and stays on your wrist well.
The band has another advantage over the Apple sports band. Apple’s band will sweat quite quickly. This Nomad sports band is less likely to suffer from that. This is mainly because the holes in the strap are a bit larger. In addition, the material stretches a little easier than its Apple counterpart.
Not just for Apple Watch Ultra
During our review we had attached this Glow in the Dark Apple Watch Bandje from Nomad to an Apple Watch Ultra Second generation (€ 716.95). But you don’t necessarily have to have an Apple Watch Ultra. The strap is suitable for almost every Apple Watch with a size between 44 to 49 mm.
Connecting the strap with the Apple Watch is a bit stiffer than the silicone straps from Apple itself. But once you have attached the strap, it is also fine.
Conclusion: Nomad Glow in the Dark 2.0 band for Apple Watch
The Nomad sports bands are a great alternative if you want something different than Apple’s standard bands. The Apple Watch bands from Nomad also breathe a bit more, and that is so nice during exercise.
The Glow in the Dark of this special band is fun, but in our opinion it could have been a bit brighter. You see the glow effect, but to see it in the twilight you have to keep a strap with a powerful light source.
The strap is great and is excellent for everyday use. This variant of the strap has a light, green color. Do you not like that? There is also a version for sale that has a blue color (with a blue glow).
