On X (former Twitter) a photo was recently shared showing two covers of the iPhone 17 Pro. The account where the photo was shown is from Sonny Dickson and he shares more leaked photos and rumors that have to do with Apple.

The photo clearly shows how large the new camera island will actually be. We already knew that according to rumors, the iPhone 17 Pro would get a camera island across the entire width, but when we saw this photo we realized how large the new camera island is on an iPhone 17 Pro.

It is actually quite striking that Apple is doing this now. The back of the iPhone has had the same appearance for quite a long time. In fact, since the iPhone 11 Pro has not been adjusted much anymore. But according to several rumors, this seems to change with the 17 Pro (Max).

Although the lenses remain in the same place, the camera island becomes larger and extends over the entire width of the device. In addition, other components, such as the Lidar sensor and the flashlight, are completely moved to the right. According to the latest reports, the camera island gets the same color as the rest of the back of the device, in contrast to previous reports.

Even under the hood, something will change with the iPhone 17 Pro. For example, the device runs on the brand new A19 Pro chip, and it is linked to no less than 12 GB of memory.

For comparison: the iPhone 16 Pro still has to do with 8 GB, just like the standard iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. That extra memory makes it possible to run more advanced AI functions from Apple Intelligence simultaneously, without hitches.

But that is not the case. According to different rumors, the iPhone 17 Pro also gets:

• Support for WiFi 7for even faster and more stable wireless connections
• A larger batteryso you can move forward longer without charging
• A stronger displaywith an improved version of the Ceramic Shield, which is even more resistant to scratches and falls

Apple will officially unveil the iPhone 17 series as usual in September. Then we finally know which rumors actually correct and which are not.
