iOS 19 gets long -awaited function (but only on these iPhones)

According to rumors, iOS 19 gets a long -awaited position, but it does not come to all iPhones. These devices will get the feature!

iOS 19

This year iOS 19 is coming to the iPhone and it promises to be a major update. Apple is working on a completely new design for the operating system, which we will probably see for the first time with iOS 19. It is expected that iOS 19 will take over many elements of Visionos, so that we see more transparent frameworks. That is by no means everything, because iOS 19 is said to bring a long -awaited function to a number of iPhones.

According to new rumors, iOS 19 finally offers the possibility to use your iPhone with an external screen. Now that is still limited, with the iPad and Mac much more options are available if an external display is connected. Apple connoisseur Majin Bu expects a number of iPhones from iOS 19 to receive support for Stage Manager, or at least a position that looks like that. That is good news, because it makes it much easier to connect your iPhone to other devices.

Internship Manager

Internship Manager is a software function, with which you can organize multiple programs and windows on your screen. Moreover, it is easier to switch between applications and programs with Stage Manager. Now iPados and MacOS have an internship manager, but the position also comes to a number of iPhones with iOS 19. This is especially useful if you connect an external screen, because Stage Manager can then show up to eight apps on the display at the same time.

In this way, Stage Manager Multitasking makes much easier. This is a major improvement, because now the iPhone only shows a synchronous display on an external screen. So you can connect the smartphone, but then you see exactly the same on the larger screen as on your iPhone. With iOS 19 that changes, but unfortunately the function does not come to all iPhones.

Only for iPhones with USB-C

From iOS 19 you can activate an internship manager on your iPhone as soon as it is connected to an external screen. With this feature it is easier to multitask and change between programs, because several applications can be shown next to each other at the same time. According to Majin Bu, the function only comes to iPhones that are equipped with a USB-C port.

External screens can only be connected via a USB-C input, so that Stage Manager only comes to the newer iPhones. The iPhone 15- and iPhone 16 series have a USB-C port, the iPhone 17 series also gets USB-C. Do you have one of these iPhones? Then you can easily connect the device to an external screen for more functions. Read more about the largest iPhone update of 2025 here!
