Apple presents the Apple Watch Series 11, the Ultra 3 and the SE 3 in September, and that is why it is better not to buy this Apple Watch anymore.
These Apple Watch models come in September
In a few weeks, Apple will present the Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3 and SE 3. All three models will probably be equipped with the new S11 chip, although according to rumors they do not offer no performance improvement compared to the S9 and S10 chip. It is good news for the SE 3, since the Apple Watch SE 2 is currently equipped with an S8 chip. The Apple Watch SE 3 probably focuses on the costs and may therefore get a plastic housing.
The Apple Watch Ultra 3 has the most exciting new functions. We expect a slightly larger screen (made possible by thinner edges, not through a larger housing) with a higher resolution. The Ultra 3 will probably also get 5G and satellite options, so that the connection options are lifted to a higher level. It is also possible that the Ultra will receive 3 blood pressure measurement. Although that function does not give active measurements, you will get a warning if it is something you should pay attention to.
It is possible that the Apple Watch Series 11 gets some of these Ultra 3 functions, but that is not yet certain. Apart from that, it seems that the ‘regular’ Apple Watch will only get a small upgrade this year.
You shouldn’t buy this Apple Watch anymore
If you are planning to buy an Apple Watch Ultra, then it is not a bad idea to wait a few more weeks. The Apple Watch Ultra 3 has many new functions and if you still spend a lot of money on an Apple Watch, you might as well buy the very best. If you don’t have to, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is a good choice. With an amount of € 748.95, it is also still at the price.
If you want to buy a standard Apple Watch or an Apple Watch SE, it is something else. You can now save a lot of money if you go for the predecessors. For example, you are currently buying an Apple Watch SE 2 for € 222.95. An Apple Watch Series 10 now also costs you only € 373.95. Since the Apple Wach Series 11 only gets a small update compared to the series 10, that is still a good choice.
The Apple Watch SE 2 is now quite outdated. As mentioned, it still has an S8 chip, so the S11 chip of the SE 3 is therefore quite a big difference. The battery life of the Apple Watch Se 2 also leaves something to be desired by current standards. For that reason we no longer recommend buying this Apple Watch. The Apple Watch SE 3 is much faster and more modern.
If you still want to buy the SE 2
If you find the limitations of the Apple Watch SE 2 no problem, you can of course still choose it. In that case we recommend waiting for a few more weeks. Once the Apple Watch SE 3 is on the market, the price of the SE 2 will undoubtedly drop a little further. That way you can save maximum on the purchase of a new Apple Watch, even though this model is now really outdated.
