How much is the forest worth?

Not only ecologically, the forest is of enormous importance, entire industries live from wood – and the desires grow. But the resource weakened by climate change should be spared rather than more exploited – a dilemma.

The Germans have a particularly intimate relationship with the forest: it was the setting for the glorified Varus battle; Famous fairy tales such as “Hansel and Gretel”, “Snow White” and “Little Red Riding Hood” are located there.
