It’s that time! Apple announces the new iPhone 17 series on Tuesday 9 September and put these hints in the AWE dropping invitation.
These hints are in the AWE dropping invitation
The logo used in the AWE dropping invitation for the upcoming iPhone 17 event is similar to an infrared version of the Apple logo. As with most Apple events, there is also a dynamic, animated version, as CEO Tim Cook shows in a video on X:
But this year Apple also has an interactive version of the AWE dropping invitation logo. If you Apple.com Visit, you see the image of the iPhone 17-Event prominent in the picture at the top of the page. Tap and drag or click and drag on the logo and you will see the colors turning and following your movement.
In essence, the Apple logo acts as a kind of heatmap that follows your movements. So wherever you click, the logo is lit red, with a yellow shine around the edge of your touch or click. Try to go to the Apple website for yourself.
New iPhone colors in the AWE dropping invitation
The Apple logo therefore looks like a thermal map or what you could see on a heat camera. It is not entirely clear what Apple hints with that. The colors change from blue shades to orange shades, so it may be a nod to the new iPhone colors that are expected. According to the last rumors, the iPhone 17 Pro models will be available in orange and dark blue, while the iPhone 17 Air will probably get a light blue tint.
