Apple won’t release iOS 26.4 until the spring of 2026, but the first features have already surfaced. These five improvements come to your iPhone with iOS 26.4!

Apple just released iOS 26.2, but iOS 26.4 is already being developed in the background. According to rumors, it will be an important update that will bring many new features to the iPhone. The first hints of these features have surfaced in iOS 26.2. The software version contains codes that refer to components of iOS 26.4. Curious about what these improvements are? 1. Siri is getting much smarter
Apple announced the new version of Siri in 2024, but the new generation of the voice assistant is still not available at the end of 2025. In iOS 26.4, Siri becomes much smarter, as codes have been discovered that confirm that Apple Intelligence is coming to the voice assistant. Siri is expanded with more language models and therefore becomes much smarter. This certainly applies to the English version of Siri, the Dutch version may soon follow.
2. Save credit card in iCloud
Do you regularly pay with a credit card when making online purchases? In that case, iOS 26.4 brings a handy feature to your iPhone, because you can finally store credit cards in third-party applications in iCloud. This way you only have to enter your payment card details once in iCloud. Once you have done this, the data will now automatically appear when making online payments.
3. Folders in Freeform
In 2022, Apple brought Freeform to your iPhone and with iOS 26.4 the application becomes much clearer. You can easily create notes and documents in Freeform, but it is not yet possible to organize them. This is possible from iOS 26.4, because Freeform will then be expanded with folders. This way you can create a separate folder for each project, so that your notes are much easier to find.
4. Sports in Apple TV
Do you have an Apple TV subscription? Then iOS 26.4 may bring an interesting change to your iPhone, because Apple TV will have a special section for sports. In the United States, Apple has acquired the broadcast rights of Formula 1, of which exclusive content will probably appear in the new section on Apple TV. It is still unclear what will change with Apple TV in the Netherlands and Belgium, because Apple does not have Formula 1 broadcasting rights here.
5. Security features
Apple improves the security of your iPhone with every update and iOS 26.4 is no different. Apple is working on a new feature that will check an iPhone before you log in with your Apple Account. This way you can be sure that it is a reliable device and you can enter your password without any worries. This control will come to the iPhone with iOS 26.4, and the iPad and Mac will probably get a similar feature.
