In a new rumor, analyst Jeff Pu reveals all the hardware details of the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max that are expected in 2026. Here they are.
Rumor: iPhone 18 Pro (Max) features
According to Pu, Apple will have a good chance of gaining market share with its upcoming iPhone 18 series. That is quite special since the smartphone market is likely to shrink in the near future. Pu thinks that global smartphone sales will decline by 4 percent in 2026. This is mainly due to the rising costs of working memory.
Pu estimates iPhone sales at 250 million units by 2026. That is an increase of 2 percent compared to last year. It would increase Apple’s market share to 21 percent, up from 20 percent in 2025 and 19 percent in 2024. As for the expected features of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Pu shared the table below in the rumor, based on data from GF Securities.
Three iPhones in 2026
According to a recent rumor, Apple will probably only launch three iPhone models in 2026: the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and a foldable iPhone. The basic version of the iPhone 18 will probably not be released until next spring, together with the iPhone 18e and the iPhone Air 2.
Pu also draws a connection between Apple’s 2026 lineup and its plans for AI. He refers to the switch to N2 silicon and 12 GB of RAM in the iPhone 18 line-up. These upgrades are intended to enable more advanced AI processing on the device. For example, there will be a more powerful Siri, which, according to Pu, will be rolled out by Apple in 2026.
