Do you regularly use CarPlay? In that case, there are many iPhone functions that you can safely use in your car. The operating system brings applications such as WhatsApp, Messages, Apple Music and Apple Maps to the screen of your car. This way you can see exactly which turn to take, which song is playing and you can quickly respond to messages you receive. That’s not all, because CarPlay now also works seamlessly with your car’s software.
Most modern cars now have operating systems that have their own applications and widgets. You can choose to only use CarPlay, but in some cases it is more convenient to use CarPlay and the car’s operating system simultaneously. This way you can see the widgets of your car and CarPlay next to each other, so that all important information is shown on one screen. With iDrive, BMW’s own software, it looks like this:
