It’s going to be another big year for Apple! The company will not only release many new products in 2026, but will also celebrate an anniversary. Apple was founded on April 1, 1976, making the company’s 50th anniversary on April 1, 2026. Typically, Apple rarely looks back on big moments, but chances are this milestone won’t go unnoticed. Tim Cook has now promised that Apple will celebrate this anniversary.
It’s not often that Apple celebrates company milestones. The company did pay attention to the anniversary of the Mac, but that was twelve years ago now. In 2014, the Mac celebrated its thirtieth anniversary, which Apple celebrated with a special campaign. Interviews with Apple employees appeared and Apple’s homepage showed a special message about the Mac. We may see a similar campaign on April 1, 2026.
50 years of Apple
Tim Cook has already indicated that Apple will celebrate its fiftieth anniversary, but has not yet announced how this will happen. In any case, the company has plenty of moments to look back on. Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne founded the Apple Computer Company as a small company in 1976, now Apple Inc is one of the most important and valuable companies in the world.
Over the past fifty years, Apple has released many new products and services. From the Macintosh to the iPod touch and the Apple Vision Pro, Apple has made great strides in technology. According to Tim Cook, a group of employees will take extensive time in April 2026 to look back on all of Apple’s milestones. This is probably not only happening internally within the company, but with a major campaign from Apple.

April 1, 2026 is therefore a special day for Apple, when exclusive interviews and other special content will undoubtedly appear on the Apple website. Apple is not expected to release new products on this date. This will probably happen earlier, because many devices are reportedly planned for early 2026. The iPhone 17e, MacBook Pro M5 Pro and iPad (Air) are expected in February or March.
In total, Apple is releasing more than twenty new products this year, the first of which we have already seen. Apple released the AirTag 2 in January 2026.
