Perhaps one of the most popular features is the iPhone’s alarm clock feature. If you want to stay in bed for a while, you can use the snooze function to delay getting up. Since iOS 26, you have the option to determine the duration of the snooze period and adjust snoozing.
Where you used to be stuck with the standard of 9 minutes, Apple now offers the freedom to set your own interval. Whether you prefer to be woken up again after 5 minutes or want to dream away for another 15 minutes, it is finally up to you to choose the perfect snooze time.
Adjust alarm snooze time on iPhone
- Open the Clock app
- Go to ‘Alarm clock’
- Create a new one or edit an existing one
- Enable the ‘Snooze’ option
- Tap ‘Snooze Duration’
- Choose a desired time

Users can adjust the snooze duration from 1 to 15 minutes depending on their preferences. This gives them the flexibility to change their wake-up time and have enough time to wake up. By default this is set to nine minutes, but adjusting the time allows anyone to choose a setting that suits their morning routine.
