As previously announced, Skoda is expanding the Fabia’s price list with versions with an automatic transmission. Both the Fabia Hatchback and the Fabia Combi can be ordered with DSG immediately.
Earlier this year, Skoda highlighted which changes it would make to its models this summer. The Fabia would be available this year with a DSG automatic transmission, and Techzle can be the first to report which prices Skoda charges for the Fabia with seven-speed automatic transmission.
The Skoda Fabia, always equipped with the 95 hp 1.0 TSI, is available with manual gearbox as Active, Ambition and Style. The Fabia with DSG7 automatic transmission, however, is only available as Ambition, which applies to both the five-door hatchback and the Combi. The price of the Fabia Hatchback 1.0 TSI DSG7 Ambition is € 21,490, making it two grand more expensive than the manual equivalent. For the Fabia Combi 1.0 TSI DSG7 Ambition, Skoda asks € 22,490. Again, the additional cost for the machine is € 2,000. You can order immediately.
Performance
The Fabia’s with automatic transmission are almost as fast as the manual versions, but thanks to their slightly higher weight (1,160 instead of 1,116 kilos for the hatchback), they have to tolerate the versions with manual transmission narrowly in front of them. With automatic transmission, the Fabia sprints to 100 km / h in 11.1 seconds, while the versions with manual gearbox do that job in 10.8 seconds. The top speed of the Fabia with automatic transmission is at 186 km / h slightly above that of the manual variants (185 km / h). However, the Fabia with DSG is slightly thirsty. Average consumption is 5.7 l / 100 km (Combi 5.6 l / 100 km) instead of 5.4 l / 100 km.
