This is how you can save an Instagram photo

If you see a nice photo on Instagram, you may also want to save it from time to time. Of course you can take a screenshot on your phone or tablet, but that is somewhat cumbersome. It is easier to download an app that allows you to download photos directly from Instagram. This way you can save an Instagram photo.

There are several apps you can use to save photos from other accounts on Instagram. You can have your own photos automatically saved as soon as you post them on Instagram. To do this, go to your profile and select the three lines at the top right. Select settings under ‘original messages’ you can check the options to save posted photos and videos on your device.

Save with Quicksave for Instagram

An app that allows you to download photos from someone’s profile is Quicksave (Android/iOS). To save a photo, start the app and turn on the slider for ‘auto download service’. You will see the Instagram icon at the bottom left. If you open Instagram via the Quicksave app, you are ready to download photos from Instagram.

Choose the photo you want to download and select the three dots to the right of the photo. This will open the menu. Choose Copy link and the app will automatically save the photo to your gallery.

The other apps that you can download for this purpose work on the same principle. So choose an app that you think works the easiest. To do this, you only have to search for ‘save Instagram’ in the Playstore or Appstore.

Save via your computer

To save Instagram photos to your computer, you can 4K Strogram use. This is an app you can download for Windows, macOS and Linux. You can download photos and videos via the app. Strogram also offers the option to download stories. It is also possible to make a backup of your Instagram profile. The app is free to download.

Legal?

In principle, for privacy reasons, but also from a copyright point of view, it is not the intention to download pictures from other users en masse. If you take the photos from a profile purely for personal use, it becomes a (slightly) different story, but it still pays to ask the photographer’s permission before downloading his photo.
