Facelift in the pipeline for Fiat Ducato

The Fiat Ducato seems to have been given an eternal life. The company car, which in principle dates back to 2006, does not seem to be allowed to retire yet. Fiat is preparing a facelifted version of its largest van.

Fiat gave the Ducato a thorough facelift in 2014, modernizing both the interior and the exterior of the third generation Ducato, launched in 2006. Even about seven years after the arrival of this facelifted variant, the Ducato is not yet relieved by a completely new bus. Based on this brand-new set of spy photos, it seems very much that Fiat is simply going to bring a once again facelifted version on the market.

Although it has been a while since the Ducato was optically refined, Fiat Professional seems to hold back when renewing the purchaser. The technical brother of the Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Jumper and the Ram ProMaster not available here, seems to get a different grille and a modified front bumper. It looks like the headlights and taillights are not being changed.

It is not yet clear what Fiat will adjust on a technical level. The facelift may be limited to external changes. Last year, Fiat expanded the commercial vehicle range with the fully electric e-Ducato. We do not expect the renewed Ducato to be on the market before the second half of this year.
