Schedule a repair with the Apple Support app: this is how you do it

Of course, you want to repair an Apple product that is not working properly. The Apple Support app makes it easier to schedule a repair appointment. That is how it works.

This is how you submit a broken Apple product for repair

Version 1.1 of the official Apple Support app adds repair scheduling as a major improvement. This applies not only to Apple Stores, but to all authorized resellers of the company. So there is a good chance that there is also a store in your city that will get your defective device working again.

These authorized service providers usually have a much shorter queue than the Apple Store. Sometimes you have to wait days before you can get your defective iPhone or iPad, while you can often visit an authorized dealer the same day.

Planning an Apple Support repair: this is how you do it

  1. Open the Apple Support app and log in with your Apple ID;
  2. Choose the device you want to send in for repair;
  3. Select the problem you have (such as Repairs and Physical damage);
  4. Under the heading ‘Return for repair’, tap ‘Search for locations now’;
  5. Select a provider (or ‘No provider’ if you don’t have one);
  6. Use the list or map to find the nearest Apple Authorized Repairer.

The above steps do not work, please check whether you are running the most recent version of the app. Note that the button to send in your device for repair does not appear for all issues. Depending on the problem, Apple proposes a suitable solution.
