Volvo has released the Dutch prices of the electric C40 Recharge Twin. The electric Volvo C40 is currently available in one flavor and has a starting price of just under 58 mille.

Volvo presented the C40 Recharge Plus in March this year, an electric crossover that is a brother of the also electrically powered XC40 P8 Recharge. Although you can also get the XC40 with combustion engines, the C40 will only be available with an electric powertrain. Now the price of the C40 Recharge is also known.

Volvo asks at least €57,995 for the C40 Recharge Twin. The only version of the electric Volvo C40 for the time being. Volvo’s new electric SUV is therefore €1,500 more expensive than the XC40 P8 Recharge, which has a starting price of €56,495.

For that relatively small additional cost, however, you get a lot of extras. In fact, the electric crossover with its stubbornly designed rear is in its provisional only version, just spacious in its stuff. That’s because the only version for now is based on the Recharge Twin Pro version. For just under 58 grand, the C40 Recharge Twin is topped off with a panoramic roof, pixel LED headlights, an extensive Harman Kardon audio system, a heat pump, electrically adjustable front seats, extensive Park Assist functions and 19-inch alloy wheels. The option list includes 20-inch light-alloy wheels, a towbar and various options for further decoration of the interior and exterior. The Volvo C40 Recharge Twin can be ordered online, although you can of course also just knock on the door of the Volvo dealer.

The Volvo C40 Recharge Twin has two electric motors that together produce 408 hp and 660 Nm of torque. This sprints the ‘coupé brother’ of the XC40 to a speed of 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The top speed, like that of any modern Volvo, is limited to 180 km/h. The four-wheel drive C40 Recharge Twin squeezes about 420 kilometers of range from its 75 kWh battery. That package can fill a fast charger with 150 kW from 10 to 80 percent of its capacity with fresh power in 40 minutes. You need about 8 hours on an AC charger.
