Using the Windows internal SFC tool, it is possible to easily check for corrupted system files and repair them.
Windows 10 is slower than usual? Have you noticed any malfunctions? It may mean that system files have been modified, either by malware or hard drive errors. Don’t panic, it won’t be necessary to completely reinstall Windows. Indeed, the operating system is equipped with a tool which verifies the integrity of the files of the OS, and possibly repairs them thanks to backup copies. Here’s how to use it:
1- Launch a command prompt
Right-click on the Start menu button and, in the list, click Command Prompt (admin) or Windows PowerShell (admin). You can also use the key combination

2 – Launch the verification tool
- In the window that has just opened, type the command sfc / scannow and validate with the key Entrance.

- The verification will start and any errors will be corrected automatically in the event of a problem.

- Type exit to close the window. We recommend that you restart the computer.
SFC (System File Checker) is a simple to use tool that is directly included in Windows, so you don’t have to download it. On the other hand, it is limited since it only checks system files, in particular DLLs. If your problem is caused by a bad device driver or an error in the registry, it will unfortunately not be able to help you.
