There are times when you leave your phone lying around or lend it to a friend for a few minutes. To avoid exposing your confidential information, it is better to block access to sensitive applications.
Whether it’s Dropbox, Facebook, Snapchat, Messenger or Google Drive, once these apps are associated with your user account, they launch without requiring you to identify yourself each time you use them. Consequently, the people to whom you entrust your mobile have the possibility of reading your messages or browsing your documents. To improve security, it suffices to make access to these applications conditional on entering a password. An operation which assumes the use of free tools from the Play Store, Android does not offer any functionality for this.
Entrust your apps to AppDefender
The AppDefender app (download for Android) locks apps with a single password. When using for the first time, you need to set AppDefender to Super User status: tap the Go to the Settings button to access Phone Accessibility Settings, then AppDefender.
Set the password

Once this formality is completed, you must define the password that will be required to unlock your applications. Enter the number of characters you want, then enter your secret combination. This can contain numbers, letters and symbols. Make your life easier by adopting, for example, the PIN code of your SIM card!
Build the list of apps to protect
Then activate the command Select an application to protect to build up the list of applications affected by the lock.

Just tap the slider to the right of the name of the apps you want to protect. From now on, when you try to launch one of these applications, a notification screen will appear asking you to enter your password.
