For most people, the Taskbar is at the bottom. But you can move it.
Change taskbar location
The Windows 10 Taskbar may also be in a different location. For example on the left side of your screen. Do this like this:
- Right-click on an empty spot in the Taskbar.
- Is there a check mark in front of it Lock all taskbars? Then uncheck that box.
- Now you can drag the Taskbar with the mouse by placing the mouse on an empty spot, pressing the mouse button and dragging the Taskbar to the desired corner.
- In the same way you can ‘return’ the Taskbar to the bottom of your screen.
- If you don’t want to change the position anymore, right-click again in the Taskbar and then click Lock all taskbars.
In Windows 11 it is no longer possible to move the Taskbar.
