Use the key combination Ctrl+Z to reverse the last action on a Windows PC.

Anyone who thinks that all letters on the keyboard are the same will be disappointed. Some letters gain superpowers when used in a key combination. Take the letter Z, at the bottom left of the keyboard. Along with its close neighbor, the Ctrl key, the Z gains the ability to revert actions in various programs and the Explorer. Some examples of the possibilities that the super duo Ctrl+Z offers:
- Microsoft Word and Excel
Undo the last action with Ctrl+Z. Each time you use Ctrl+Z, the next last action is rolled back. - Email programs
In fact, all e-mail programs and other applications in which you type text have this handy rollback option. - Windows Explorer
Copy, move or delete files. You undo it all with Ctrl+Z. However, there is one important exception: File Explorer has an option to permanently delete files, which is with Shift+Del. After that, Ctrl+Z won’t recover either. - Photo editing programs
Whether you use Paint or Photoshop. They all know the option to reverse the last action. - Other programs
Almost all programs have the option Ctrl+Z.
