Lamborghini is far from Huracán tired. Just like the Porsche 911, the supercar seems to get a raised ‘cross version’. With this, car manufacturers seem to have rediscovered a niche in supercar land.
Porsche has been working on a reincarnation of the 911 Safari for some time now. After all, the brand has been testing a raised 911 for some time. Lamborghini is also itching. As early as 2019, Lamborghini presented the Huracán Sterrato Concept, a high-on-the-legs Huracán with skid plates, plastic wheel arch extensions and off-road rubber. That crazy version of Lambo’s ‘entry-level supercar’ turns out to be more than just a finger exercise. A set of new spy photos provides proof that Lambo was actually tested with a raised Huracán.
The Huracán is not as fierce as the Lamborghini Sterrato Concept in these photos, because it has to do without the heavy wheel arch extensions. It is obvious that Lamborghini is breeding something. We see a Huracá0 Evo that hangs a few centimeters higher above the road than you are used to from the model. In addition, Lamborghini has not only fitted his test car with an extra set of lighting, but even with roof rails. The 2019 herald of this model had the same 640 hp strong V10 as the Huracán Evo of which it was a variant. We aim to ensure that the adventurous Huracán in these photos is also equipped with this drivetrain.
It is not yet known whether this new variant of the Huracán will also be called Sterrato, just like its conceptual predecessor. The concept of the 911 ‘Safari’ and this Huracán ‘Sterrato’ reminds us in a way of Aixam’s Mega Track, a supercar with a penchant for unpaved roads, which you can read more about here.
