Photos of an iPhone SE 2022 dummy have leaked. The device will have the same design as the current iPhone SE.
Leaked: iPhone SE 2022 gets old and familiar design
The rumor mill around the iPhone SE 2022 is working overtime. Recently leaked coverPigtou some pictures of an SE dummy. The photos confirm previous rumors about the design of the device. The smartphone will have almost the same design as the iPhone 8 and the current iPhone SE.
That means that the smartphone will again have a 4.7-inch screen, with a large forehead and a thick chin. Here we find a Touch ID home button – the new iPhone SE is not expected to get Face ID. The device also gets only one camera on the back. If you want to take zoom photos or wide angle photos, you will have to choose another iPhone.
However, the dummy photos cause some confusion about the front of the as yet unannounced smartphone. The aforementioned Touch ID home button cannot be seen on the dummy. That is strange, since other details – such as the camera, the Apple logo and the lightning port – are simply present. Does this mean that the new device will still get a notch and Face ID?
We’re pretty sure the iPhone SE 2022 will just get a home button. A number of reliable sources have confirmed this. The dummy in the photos may have been specially designed for case manufacturers. They do not necessarily need the exact location of the home button to develop new covers for the device.
Announcement in April or May
The iPhone SE 2022 is likely to be announced in April or May. In countries that fall under the EEC (including Russia and Kazakhstan), companies are obliged to register electronic equipment. Often products are registered two to three months before the announcement. The new iPhone SE is already registered here.
In addition to the old design, the device will have a completely new interior. The device will receive 5G support and a super-fast A15 chip. This is the same chip that keeps the iPhone 13 Pro running. When you can buy the iPhone SE 2022, it is still a bit of guesswork. We expect the device to be in stores before the end of May.
