Dacia Manifesto

Dacia recently launched a completely new corporate identity, complete with a fresh design language and a different logo. Now the brand comes with the Manifesto, a small adventurous concept car that, according to Dacia, is packed with novelties and innovations that must eventually find their way to their models.

The Dacia Manifesto that you see in these photos is therefore not a study model where you should expect a production version in the future. It is in fact a driving testing ground that, according to Dacia, reflects its vision of a tough, robust, affordable and environmentally friendly car.

The Manifesto is a small and electrically powered offroader, a relatively basic looking model without doors and even without a windscreen. A tailgate? Forget it, instead the Manifesto has a worksheet that you can use on your adventures off the beaten track. Handy when camping between the bushes. The seat cover is very handy. It is removable and can be used as a sleeping bag. In addition, the Manifesto has a removable battery that can be connected via a socket during outdoor adventures can supply power to equipment.

The front is also striking. You will undoubtedly recognize Dacia’s new house style in it, although the single headlight unit here is a larger attention grabber. This headlight is removable and can also serve as a flashlight. As you can see, with the Manifesto Dacia wants to emphasize its adventurous side. Therefore, the complete interior is water resistant, which means that you can easily spray out sand and mud. Fun fact: the Manifesto comes on tires without air, which according to Dacia should last as long as the car itself and apparently not wear out.

You will not find large infotainment screens in the Manifesto, instead the study model has a small digital instrumentation and a holder for your smartphone centrally on the dashboard. You take your own infotainment with you, is Dacia’s motto. The Manifesto is filled with largely recycled plastic and you will find cork in the interior.

Specific?

All nice and nice, but is Dacia really going to do something with the Manifesto and its concept? Yes and no. As mentioned, it will not go into production, but Dacia says it will continue in the future in the field of cars that are suitable for off-road use. In addition, the brand confirms that it will continue to offer four-wheel drive. In 2023, the Romanians will come up with a kit that allows you to set up a bed in the Dacia Jogger in just two minutes. Dacia continues with a tent that can be attached to the Jogger in which four people can sleep. Dacia says it wants to further expand the idea that smartphones function as an infotainment system. It already shows an image of a recognizable interior in which a smartphone replaces the infotainment screen.

In addition, Dacia indicates to use more recycled plastics in its cars. For example, the proportion of recycled plastic in the Duster must be increased to 20 percent.
