With iOS 16.1, some iPhones experienced an annoying wireless connection problem. Fortunately, there is now a solution for these Wi-Fi issues!
Wi-Fi issues plague iPhones running iOS 16.1
For the past few weeks, many iPhone users have been experiencing Wi-Fi issue. They reported that since the update to iOS 16.1, Wi-Fi disconnects at random times. Although this is only for a short time, it is of course very disturbing.

Even after resetting all internet settings, the wireless connection still does not work. Fortunately, Apple now seems to have come up with a fix for this iOS 16 Wi-Fi issue. The fix comes in the iOS 16.1.1 interim update.
iOS 16.1.1: Interim Update Against Wi-Fi Problem
It is not yet officially known what exactly this interim update contains. Still, the rumors say that Apple will at least release the fix for the Wi-Fi problem in iOS 16.1.1. In addition, there are also other complaints that need to be remedied. Hopefully those will be fixed right away.
For example, some users report that their iPhone is running out of battery extremely quickly after the update and others see that certain animations of the iPhone 14 Pro are slower than before. Also the search function Spotlight would not work fast enough.
On the other hand, iOS 16.1.1 may bring more good news besides the fix for the Wi-Fi problem. Think of the rollout of the SOS function that was announced with the iPhone 14. Apple has not yet given specific information about when this function will be available. Reliable Apple analyst Mark Gurman predicts it will happen in November.
iOS 16.2 is the update to look forward to
In addition, Gurman said that Apple will come up with iOS 16.2 in mid-December. Currently, this software version is publicly available to developers and beta testers. We have quite high expectations for this new software. For example, you can add a sleep widget on the lock screen. The digital whiteboard Freeform will become available and Stage Manager on your iPad will allow you to run 8 apps simultaneously in combination with an external display.
