Then this Action projector is for you, because with the Action LED Projector you can create a cinema experience at home for only 99 euros! With the projector you get images up to 3.30 meters in size, making it feel like you are in the movie or series. How good is the projector in practice? We tested it for you!

Installing the projector

Installing the projector is easy. The Action LED Projector comes with a remote control, power cable, AV signal cable and a 1.5 meter long HDMI cable. Connecting a MacBook is easy, you don’t have to download any additional programs or apps. The biggest challenge is positioning the projector, which must be at a distance of 1.2 to 4.45 meters from the projection surface.

Focusing the image was also easy with the dial near the lens. The projector has the option to tilt the image, which is especially useful if you have the device positioned slightly further down (or up). The wall on which we tested the Action projector was relatively dark, but that did not make the projection much less visible.

For an optimal viewing experience, it is best to use a white wall or a white cloth as a background. This also makes the dark colors of the projection stand out better, which is certainly noticeable when you watch a film or series that mainly takes place at night. We tested the projector both in the morning and in the evening. The screen was also clearly visible in daylight, but the projection is of course better in a dark environment.

Image quality

The Action LED Projector offers a resolution of 1280 x 720, which supports HD images. This is also noticeable in practice, because the images are projected sharp and clear. Full HD (1080p) would have been nice, but given the price of the projector, we don’t want to grumble. You decide how big the screen is, with a maximum size of 3.30 meters. It is mainly a matter of figuring out where to place the projector, as the screen is quickly too large.

The size of the projection naturally depends on the space you have. The Action projector has a zoom function, with which you can make the screen slightly smaller. Unfortunately, this does not go very far, so you have to place the projector close to the wall. We found that to be the biggest challenge, but once installed it was easy to focus the image.

The image was sharp almost everywhere, only on the side there was sometimes a blurry edge. The image quality is excellent, especially for the price of the projector. Do you want to use the projector for movie nights or watching series? Then this image quality is more than sufficient.

Sound quality of Action LED Projector

The Action LED Projector is equipped with a built-in 5-watt speaker, so in principle you do not need a separate speaker. The sound of the projector itself has little depth and bass, which certainly does not provide a cinema experience. If you want to go for the real cinema feeling, it is therefore advisable to connect an external speaker or soundbar.

The projector itself also makes quite a bit of noise. Especially if the device is close by, you can hear the sound of the projector. This is not very disturbing, but something to take into account. It is therefore all the more advisable to get an external speaker, so that the blowing sound of the projector is less distracting while watching the film or series.

Conclusion

For a price of only 99 euros, the Action LED Projector offers great value for money. With impressive picture quality and long-lasting LED technology, it is an excellent choice for creating a home theater. It takes some time to figure out how best to place your projector, but then you also have an image size of no less than 3.30 meters.

Keep in mind that the projector does not have the best speaker. To really bring the cinema feeling into your home, it is wise to buy an external speaker or soundbar. That does not alter the fact that the Action LED Projector is an absolute must for this price, which will take your movie nights to a higher level!
