Battery empty quickly? Reduce the screen brightness and the Android device battery will last longer.
Change brightness
How much light the screen spreads can be adjusted. Reduce the brightness of the screen to save energy. This is also more pleasant in the dark, for example if you use the tablet in the evening. To adjust the brightness on an Android tablet or smartphone:
- Open the overview with all apps via the button apps (Android 7.0) or by swiping the screen from bottom to top (Android 8.0 and 9.0).
- Tap on Institutions.
- Tap on Display.
- The slide behind ‘Helderh. auto adjust’, ‘Automatic brightness’ or ‘Adjustable brightness’ blue. Tap the slider to turn this option off.
- Now you can adjust the screen brightness using the slider under ‘Brightness’. Drag the blue dot on the slider to the left to decrease the brightness.
The brightness is now reduced. In the same way, you can adjust the brightness for a brighter display. To do this, drag the ball on the slider to the right.
