Apple has announced the official release date of the Vision Pro! This is when Apple’s first spatial computer hits stores.

Apple reveals Vision Pro release date

After a long wait, Apple has finally revealed the release date of the Vision Pro! On Friday February 2, 2024 the company’s first spatial computer appears in stores. The pre-order starts two weeks earlier, the Vision Pro is available from Friday January 19, 2024 to order. This means that the headset will finally be available in stores early next month.

Unfortunately, the Vision Pro will only come to Apple Stores in the United States, the release date in Europe is probably only next year. The spatial computer will first come to major European countries such as France and Germany. Only then will the Netherlands and Belgium follow. Apple expert Mark Gurman previously mentioned China, Canada and the United Kingdom as countries where the Vision Pro will soon be released.

Apple also published new photos of the Vision Pro when announcing the release date. The images show that the spatial computer is worn with one or two straps around your head, you can choose what you like best. In addition, Apple has announced that the Vision Pro comes standard with 256 GB of memory, it is not known if there are other options with more storage space.

No new details have been revealed about the Vision Pro, besides the release date of course. The spatial computer runs on the fast M2 chip and is equipped with two 4K micro LED screens. Operating the Vision Pro is done via eye and hand gestures, or via the Digital Crown that we already know from the Apple Watch. The glasses are secured with Optic ID, a new security method that works with your eyes.

The Vision Pro has a starting price of $3,499. For that price you also get an Apple Vision Pro Cover, a USB-C cable, an external battery and Apple’s special cleaning cloth. In addition, Apple supplies a number of accessories to improve the wearing comfort of the Vision Pro. Are you nearsighted or farsighted and do you want to buy special lenses for the headset?
