Apple confirms: Airpods Pro 3 will be coming soon

Apple’s own software has confirmed that the company is working on the AirPods Pro 3 and that the earphones may appear quickly. This is already known.

The rumors have been working for some time that Apple is working on a new generation of the AirPods Pro. Apple has now unintentionally confirmed these rumors, because in new software from the company a reference to the AirPods Pro 3 has surfaced. In a recent software version, Apple describes a function, which has been developed for the AirPods Pro 2 and Nieuwer. With ‘Nieuwer’, Apple therefore refers to the third generation AirPods Pro.

It is a recent adjustment from Apple, because earlier the code only described the AirPods Pro 2. In a new software version, Apple has therefore made AirPods Pro 2 and later made it. That means that the company in the background prepares the software for the ears for the release of the AirPods Pro 3. The new AirPods Pro may appear faster than before.

New functions

According to rumors, Apple is working on major changes at the AirPods Pro 3. For example, the ears get a new design, with a shorter stalk and a more compact charging case. This would be for the first time since the release of the AirPods Pro that Apple adjusts the design of the ears. With the AirPods 4 we already saw similar changes, the charging box of those ears is much smaller than previous cases.

Other improvements that come to the AirPods Pro 3 are improved noise reduction and a heart rate monitor. The latter is already available at the PowerBeats Pro 2, which have ears for the first time a heart rate monitor. Chances are that we will see almost the same feature at the AirPods Pro 3. There are also rumors that the AirPods Pro 3 get a temperature sensor that gives a reliable measurement of your body temperature.

Release of the AirPods Pro 3

It is still unclear which functions will come to the AirPods Pro 3. The earphones may get a new translation function, with which spoken text is translated directly into your own language. This makes it much easier to have a conversation with someone who speaks a different language. For this function, Apple Intelligence is probably used on the iPhone, so it is unclear whether the feature will be available in Dutch at the AirPods Pro 3.

Apple has unintentionally confirmed that the AirPods Pro 3 is planned. The change in the software indicates an upcoming release, while the ears were originally expected until the fall.
