Definitively no iPhone SE in 2025
Everything comes to an end and so also on the iPhone SE series. The first iPhone SE was introduced on March 21, 2016, with the letters SE for ‘Special Edition’. This first iPhone SE looked almost the same as the iPhone 5S, with an image diagonal of 4 inches. The iPhone was available in the colors rosé gold, space price, silver and gold.
The first iPhone SE was succeeded on April 15, 2020 by the iPhone SE 2020, which was part of the 13th generation iPhones, or the iPhone 11 series. The iPhone SE 2020 looked just like the iPhone 8, with a screen of 4.7 inches. The device had integrated a home button with Touch ID and was available in three colors: black, white and product Red.
On March 18, 2022, the next and therefore last iPhone SE appeared: the iPhone SE 2022. This SE had the same appearance as its predecessor from 2020, with again a screen of 4.7 inches. The storage capacity had remained the same, but the memory was increased from 3 to 4 GB. The iPhone SE was also available in three colors: red, star light and midnight.
No new version in 2025
For a long time there have been rumors about a new iPhone SE model in 2025, all the more so because the iPhone SE 2022 is no longer available. It is now clear that Apple has chosen to say goodbye to the iPhone SE series. Given the popularity of the iPhone SE 2022 in particular, many people will undoubtedly find this a pity. But don’t worry, because Apple has now released an alternative affordable iPhone: the iPhone 16th!
