Apple has released yet another updated version of iOS 18 beta 4 for developers. The new version comes just days after the original beta 4.
New version iOS 18 beta 4
The original Developer Beta 4 didn’t release until Tuesday, July 23. Possibly due to an issue discovered upon release, Apple has now replaced it with a new Developer Beta 4. This Developer Beta 4 also has a new build number: 22A5316K.
It could be that the new developer beta 4 paves the way for the addition of the Apple Intelligence features in iOS 18 that everyone is waiting for. However, it could also simply be that Apple discovered a vulnerability in the first version that just had to be fixed quickly. The real reason for the rapid new versionApple has not yet announced this.
Apple also released an updated iOS 18 beta 3 for developers in recent weeks. This was ahead of the first public beta of iOS 18. The company may now be making a similar move, with the revised developer beta 4 coming ahead of the public iOS 18 beta 2.
Features of the new version
The original Beta 4 from July 23 already included a number of new features and changes, including:
- New wallpapers for CarPlay.
- A revamped folder for hidden apps.
- Expansion of RCS (Rich Communication Services).
- Dark mode icons in light mode.
- Various interface tweaks.
