There is a new app available for the iPhone and iPad! It has been clear for some time that Apple is working on a new service that should make it easier to organize events. That service has now been rolled out, because Apple can be installed in the App Store. The application has been released for the iPhone and iPad and is intended for sending invitations for special events.
Are you organizing a party, drink or other event soon? Then from now on you can use Apple invitations for that. The application can be installed free of charge on the iPhone and iPad, if they run on iOS 18 or iPados 18. This is how Apple works invitations
With Apple invitations it is easy to create an event. For that you tap the plus sign (+) and give the event a name. You can then add a suitable background, date and time to the invitation. In addition, you have the choice whether you add an end time to the event. It is also possible to fill in a location with a precise address, so that guests see exactly where to go.
That’s not all, because Apple invites invitations with other Apple apps. For example, the address can be requested directly in Apple tickets. Via the Weer app they see the current weather forecast at that location. Do you take photos or videos at the event? Then it is possible to add a link to a shared photo album to the invitation. All guests then get direct access to the shared album in the photos app.
Service for iCloud Plus
Another handy function in Apple invitations is to create an Apple Music playlist. You can also send this link with the invitation, all participants will then have the opportunity to add numbers to the playlist for the event. After sending the invitation, participants can indicate whether or not they will come. You can see these reactions in the app, so that you know exactly how many people you can expect.
With the new app it becomes much easier to organize events. Apple invitations works via iCloud Plus, so you need a paid subscription to the service to organize events. Do you already have a subscription to iCloud Plus? Then you get the new app for free. Users without a subscription can respond to events, but do not organize them. This way you can share the invitation with everyone, including with Android users.
