Apple is working on iOS 18.3.1 (and that is an important update)

There is an update for the iPhone! According to rumors, Apple works on iOS 18.3.1, which solves important software problems.

Apple has recently released iOS 18.3, but it seems that there will soon be another update to the iPhone. According to rumors, Apple is currently testing iOS 18.3.1, an interim update that has to solve important software problems. It is striking that Apple will release a version of iOS 18.3, because last week Apple already released the update for a number of iPhones.

For the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max, a renewed version of iOS 18.3 appeared. It is not (yet) known exactly what problems Apple has solved in this software version. Apple usually announces this later, so that malicious parties cannot abuse the software problems. These are reportedly not yet fully resolved, so Apple is now working on iOS 18.3.1.

Where the renewed version of iOS 18.3 was only available for the iPhone 11 series, iOS 18.3.1 does come to all iPhones with support for iOS 18. It is not yet clear whether the update also to the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and The iPhone 11 Pro Max is coming. It is clear that an important software problem is being solved, so Apple is forced to release an interim update for the iPhone.

Apple usually only releases these types of updates if the software problems are too large to wait for the next update. In that case it is probably security problems on the iPhone.
