What can you expect from Apple in early 2023?
Apple surprised last month with the launch of a new series of MacBook Pros and a new generation of HomePod. It seems that these devices were actually intended for last year, but due to delays only appeared in January. What other devices can we expect from Apple in early 2023?
Apple’s first VR glasses seem to be finally here and the company is expected to announce a new Mac Pro. We put together all the new devices that you can expect from Apple in early 2023.

New Mac Pro will be released in early 2023
In 2019, Apple released one of the biggest updates to the Mac Pro. The new powerhouse harked back to the design of the past, but inside it was one of the fastest computers at the time. According to Mark Gurman, Apple is now working on an even faster Mac Pro, which should appear in early 2023.

The new Mac Pro will run on Apple Silicon, Apple’s own chip, according to Mark Gurman. The Mac Pro gets a new M2 Ultra chip, a chip with a 24-core CPU and a 76-core GPU with at least 192GB of RAM. It is expected that the new Mac Pro can also be expanded with more storage space, working memory and other aspects.

According to Gurman, Apple is now testing macOS 13.3, which will also be released in early 2023. The new Mac Pro, along with macOS 13.3, is expected in March or April, so we don’t have to wait long for this new powerhouse.
Apple Reality will finally appear this spring
The rumors have been going on for years, but what it looks like now, Apple’s first VR glasses will really appear in early 2023. Earlier last year, the first clues to a VR headset surfaced in the source code and logs of the App Store. This showed that Apple is working on xrOS, the operating system that runs Apple Reality.
The glasses are mainly made for streaming video content and communication, such as video calling. The device is expected to be relatively light and has two 4K screens with micro-LED technology. The VR glasses also have 15 cameras, WiFi 6E and an advanced processor, which is about as powerful as the Mac’s M1 processor.

Mark Gurman and Ming-Chi Kuo both agree that the VR glasses will appear in early 2023, likely during an Apple Event in the spring. Are you curious what we already know about the VR glasses? Here we put together all the rumors about the Apple Reality for you.
Apple comes with a new color iPhone
In recent years, Apple has often introduced new colors for the iPhone in the spring. For example, the iPhone 13 received two new colors in March last year: ‘Alpine Green’ (Alpine green) and ‘iPhone 13 green’ (Green). In April 2021, the iPhone 12 also appeared in two new versions, but with purple hues.
It is expected that Apple will also introduce an extension to the iPhone 14 series in early 2023 and give the smartphone a new look. The iPhone 14 will probably be available in two new colors in addition to the five current colors (blue, purple, red, midnight and starlight). Which colors these will be remains to be seen.

No major launches in 2023
Due to the launch of Apple Reality, it is expected that other devices will not receive huge updates this year. Recently it became clear that Apple has put more developers on the production of the VR glasses in order to finish the glasses on time. Therefore, iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 are unlikely to receive major updates.
