The Apple Watch Series 8 not only gets faster, but also gets more sports functions. Unfortunately, all but one of new health features are likely to fail.
Apple Watch Series 8: faster and new sports features
In his most recent newsletter, Mark Gurman tells more about the Apple Watch Series 8 that we can expect this year. For example, according to the Apple expert, the new Watch will probably not receive new health sensors this year. Mark Gurman does expect that this year the new Apple Watch will be faster and will get a body temperature sensor.
Three times new Apple Watch
He also expects three new Apple Watch models to come. An Apple Watch Series 8, an improved Apple Watch SE and an Apple Watch that is specifically aimed at (extreme) sports.
Gurman didn’t say what to expect from the new SE. However, it is very possible that the new Watch will get more features, which are more in line with the high-end models.
New design for new Apple Watch
It’s nice that the Apple Watch Series 8 is getting faster again, but the lack of more new health functions is a shame. In addition, little is known whether Apple will change the appearance. There are rumors that there may be an extra large version of the Apple Watch.
Before the Apple Watch Series 7 was announced, there were several rumors online that a completely new design was coming. The look of the Watch would be more in line with the iPhone 13. Nothing could be further from the truth and the Apple Watch from 2021 had much the same look as the Apple Watch Series 6. Perhaps with the new Watch we will finally enter the design with flat sides see live.
