The iPhone has already had its fair share of (software) problems, but there is also something wrong with the Apple Watch. Several owners of an Apple Watch Series 9 or Apple Watch Ultra 2 have problems with a screen that flashes.

The problem occurs when the always on screen of the Apple Watch is on. It is not known if there are more Apple Watches that have this problem. It seems to mainly occur with recent smartwatches running watchOS 10.

Apple advises owners with this problem to always keep their Apple Watch up to date. This means that the fix should arrive quickly and can be resolved with a software update. This will probably be with watchOS 10.1, which will be available for download (if all goes well later tonight) on Tuesday, October 24.

As a temporary solution, Apple says to turn off the always on feature. You do this by going to ‘Settings’ on the Apple Watch. Then choose ‘Screen & brightness’ and tap ‘Always on’. Then disable the option here.
