Apple Watch Ultra gets much better: you can expect these 4 functions
Apple will soon have new products, but a new Apple Watch is not (yet) among them. The new watches are expected later this year and according to the latest rumors, the Apple Watch Ultra in particular will receive a major update.
The Apple Watch Ultra 4 will arrive in the fall and may receive four improvements. These are the expectations.
1. More sensors
The biggest change comes in the sensors. Rumors say that Apple wants to double the sensors in the Ultra 4. That means more (and better) measurements, and less ‘guessing’ via the algorithms.
This will not only make your health data more accurate, but it will also improve performance and possibly even boost battery life. You don’t have to expect a blood sugar meter yet, because according to rumors it is not planned for this model.
2. Adjustments to the design
Rumors also say that the design will change somewhat. The Ultra line already looks cool, but there is talk of ‘exterior adjustments’. It is still unclear how big this makeover will be.
Previous rumors even mentioned a larger housing, but they now seem a bit more toned down. It will probably be some minor tweaks instead of a completely new look.
3. Touch ID is coming to the Apple Watch Ultra
According to rumors, Touch ID will also come to the Apple Watch Ultra. A reference to the internal codename of Touch ID associated with 2026 Apple Watch models has been found in leaked Apple code.
If Apple really follows through with this, it could, among other things, make unlocking and logging in just a little faster and more convenient. Of the 4 features coming to the Apple Watch Ultra, this feature seems to be the most interesting.
4. (Even) better battery life
Finally, Apple also seems to be tinkering with battery life. According to rumors, the Ultra 4 would be a lot more economical, possibly due to a new chip or more efficient sensors. Last year the battery life also improved somewhat and it would be nice if Apple would now go even further.
