At more airline companies it is now extra smart to put an airtag in your luggage. Lost luggage is therefore really recovered faster.
Put an airtag in your luggage with these airlines
Imagine: after a long flight you are at the luggage band and one suitcase after the other passes by. But not yours. Panic? Yes, quite. Unless you have an airtag in your suitcase.

The great thing is that you can almost always see where your luggage is. But it is a bit stupid that many airlines usually did nothing with it. If you then came to the counter to say that your luggage had lost and have an airtag, they shrugged and you could fill in a form.

The option to share your airtag is on your iPhone since iOS 18.2. This allows everyone who has the link to view the location of your airtag. Sharing remains available for seven days or stops when the airtag is with you again. Incidentally, it works with every device that has support for Apple’s search my.

You can find the option to share an airtag in search my. There you tap the airtag and opt for ‘part airtag’. If it is not an airtag, choose ‘Share Object’. Then add the person with whom you want to share the location.
